I've had so much pleasure in creating some wonderful cakes and cupcakes over the years. There's really nothing quite like seeing and hearing that you've created something special that just put a smile on somebody's face. That makes all the sleepless nights and countless hours all worthwhile.

The request has always been something blue. My littlest one actually wanted a repeat of what his birthday cake was a few years ago. I kind of listened 🙉. It's still kind of rustic, still had the same colour tones (grey, blues, silver leaf), but this time, more of a concrete look. I actually like this style of cakes because the more imperfect, the better.
