🌧️ Wet weather or not, the work doesn’t stop.
Behind the scenes, we’re continuing to invest in our people by providing regular internal training sessions and creating genuine pathways for career progression.
One thing we’ve noticed throughout our industry is that many people hold the relevant High Risk Work Licences but haven’t yet had the opportunity to put those skills into practice and gain valuable hands-on experience. We’re committed to helping bridge that gap.
This week’s session focused on Franna crane operations, supporting our experienced riggers as they progress into the seat, while also developing our newer team members entering the rigging field.
We’re incredibly proud of what we’re building at ORCA and the culture of learning, mentoring and continuous improvement that exists within the pod.
A huge thank you to Lloyd Bucci for facilitating another informative and engaging session and well done to everyone who got involved.
We’d also like to give a massive shout-out to Jen and the team at ABC Crane Hire for generously allowing us to utilise their yard and crane facilities for the day. Support like this plays a huge role in developing the next generation of industry professionals and is greatly appreciated.
Another special mention goes to Ryan Greaves who volunteered his time as our operator and crane instructor for the session. Ryan’s knowledge, patience and willingness to share his experience made the day a tremendous success for everyone involved.
This industry is built on good people helping good people, and we’re grateful to have such strong support around us.
