This weekend we are in Oakey for a bbq comp. Late hand ins today meant a sleep in and slow start to the morning. Everything is on now and travelling well, it's quite hot today so things are cooking a little quick which is fine. We are coming off the back of two perfect score Pork hand ins in our last two comps, so pressures on! 😀

This weekend we drove to Newcastle to compete in the ABA bbq invitational. 30 best Australian teams plus several international teams (NZ and USA). Invitational was held on Sat and the Open on Sunday. A strong weekend for us saw us walk away with 5 trophies including a perfect score Pork hand in on both Days! We finished 6th overall in the invitational and 5th overall in the Open. Huge weekend, now the long drive home...
Big thanks to for supplying all our proteins, especially the perfect pork!

After last weekends bbq comp, the leader boards have now been updated. We are sitting 2nd in Australia in Brisket!. We have been cooking some really consistent briskets in recent comps and happy to see it result in a good score for us. Our last 5 brisket cooks have been: 5th, 2nd, 3rd, 2nd, 2nd,

Oakey D2. Another successful cook after day 1. 4th brisket, 5th pork ribs, 9th pork. Unfortunately the judges weren't happy with our chicken which scored low. Overall we finished 7th which we are happy with. We also tied for 1st for best overall pork ribs (combined scores from both day) which crowned us 'rib king'! Thanks again to for the awesome quality proteins.
