When one little birthday girl wants long hair like Rapunzel and the other birthday girl wants rainbows and butterflies, no problem! Leave it with me and I will combine the 2 themes.

AUCTION!

Yesterday I took a class with some awesome and fun people showing them how to make a highland cow cake.
I am auctioning off the cake I made as a demonstration. Highest bidder at 7pm today Monday 19th May will win this cute cake.
Proceeds will be donated to the charity ‘Love your sister’ which raises money for cancer research in honour of my dad who recently passed from this terrible disease.
Put your bid in the comments section, bids start at $100. This cake would retail for $500 so let’s raise some money for an amazing charity!

Please note cake must be able to be picked up from Ballarat by Wednesday as there is blueberries in one of the layers of cake 🎂

This 3 tier cake was brought to life with some bright flowers to create a stunning wedding cake.
Different flavours for each tier, layered with silky vanilla buttercream and covered with a rich chocolate ganache under the white fondant.
A simple yet elegant cake to be part of a special celebration.

How much does this cake cost?
This is the number one question I get asked.
It is a bit like asking how long is a piece of string, you see every cake is different when making custom cakes. In the 8 years I have been doing this I have never made exactly the same cake twice. I may have made variations but never the same.
So a little look into how my day was today:
4 and a half dozen eggs.
9 kgs flour.
1 kg cocoa.
2 kg vegetable oil.
Baking powder.
Also baking paper to line trays.
Add in electricity, gas and water.
So far 7 hours work and haven’t even started construction of cake yet.
Then add in time for quoting, invoicing and answering questions regarding the design.
This is just for one cake this week and yes it is a big cake and I cannot wait to show you all but it gives a little picture that it is not ‘Just a cake’.
I cannot charge per hour like an electrician or plumber (I would be a millionaire if I could! ).
Yet I have put in hours to learn and perfect my craft.
Part of why I do this is because I love to create and help with people’s special celebrations, some of the reactions I have had especially from kids over the years makes all the long hours totally worth it!
So I take this part to please ask when asking for a quote please be patient, I cannot often answer straight away, I could be busy constructing a cake, working or heaven forbid spending time with my family. No I will not respond to requests sent at 10 pm on a Sunday night but I will answer as soon as possible.
Please be mindful I am a one woman show, I am cook, designer, quoter, bill payer, product tester, student and sometimes teacher. I am only human and yes at times I make mistakes but please be respectful, I will endeavour to correct at all times where possible.
Lastly thank you to all my loyal customers, I have met some amazing people on this journey and hope to continue creating for some time ahead. To my new customers, a warm welcome and hope we too can create the same magic for your celebrations.
I would not be where I am without my family who are my number one fans, so to you all a big heartfelt thank you and much ❤️.

These two cakes were for a special celebration for 2 gorgeous sisters.
I have been lucky enough to help with making cakes for celebrations for Sofia since her first birthday and this cake was for her 9th! Such a beautiful family and I feel blessed to be part of such fun and important milestones.

This wedding cake was very special to me, it was for my daughter and her wife as they celebrated their special day.
A combination of white chocolate and chocolate mudcake with some fresh fruit and home grown roses from my garden.
A big shout out to the wonderful , not only a gorgeous venue but the loveliest people to work with.
Also a shout out to who were amazing, whilst this was not one of their photos (this was mine on iPhone) he was incredibly patient and professional. Thank you for capturing the day perfectly cannot wait to see a better photo of this cake :)
To my new daughter in law thank you for making my girl so happy and welcome to the family.

These guys have been around a while but still seem to appeal to all young and old
