🌸 Let me introduce myself… I’m Maria

There are quite a few new faces here lately, so I thought it was time I said hello and shared a little about the person behind Bouquet Cakes💐

I’m Maria — cupcake artist, teacher, product designer and the very proud creator of Bouquet Cakes.

Bouquet Cakes began in 2019 from a love of baking, flowers and creating something beautiful with my hands. What started with buttercream and a piping bag has grown into something I could never have imagined.

Over the years I’ve developed my own style of realistic buttercream florals and my signature cupcake bouquets — flowers you can eat🌸🧁 I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have my work recognised with multiple Cupcake Artist of the Year awards, but what means just as much to me is being able to share what I’ve learnt with other people.

Teaching has become such a special part of Bouquet Cakes. I genuinely love sitting around a table with my students, sharing all my little tips and tricks and watching a flower — and eventually an entire bouquet — come to life in their hands.

More recently, my journey has taken me into designing products specifically for floral cupcake artists, including my own Bouquet Cupcake Boxes, as well as collaborating with others in the cake decorating industry to develop tools that make our beautiful craft just that little bit easier.

And after all these years, I still get excited when I pipe a beautiful flower. I still notice the tiniest details. I still pull flowers apart in my mind wondering “which piping tip could I use for that?” 😂🌷

Behind the flowers, I’m simply Maria — someone who found something she truly loves and is very grateful that I get to share it with all of you.

Whether you’ve been following me from the beginning, have taken one of my classes, purchased from my little business, or you’ve only just discovered my page… thank you for being here. Your support allows me to keep creating, teaching, experimenting and doing what I love.

A little proud moment 🥹💐

My Bouquet Cupcake Boxes have been nominated for the ACDN New Product Award.

This one feels extra special because these boxes are the first product I’ve ever designed myself, from scratch — created specifically for you guys, my fellow cupcake artists🧁🌸

I wanted to solve the little frustrations I’d experienced myself with standard cupcake boxes and create something that gave our beautiful buttercream florals the extra space, height and presentation they deserve.

To see an idea that started in my head become an actual product — and now be nominated for an award — makes me genuinely so happy and proud🥰
