The beautiful Emi celebrated her 2nd birthday this weekend, surrounded by family, food and these pretty pastel unicorn cupcakes! Chocolate mud cuppies with a salted caramel centre, and this paddle pop looking icing are such a treat 🙊🦄💗

The adorable Alexia recently celebrated her Baptism surrounded by the most wonderful family. We had an amazing day full of food and dancing that was topped off by this white choc berry mud cake. Putting this together has made me once again obsessed with ombre buttercream, especially when its gilded in such a lush gold! 💗

The desserts at this baby shower did not end at simply just a cake, but rather was accompanied by the prettiest cake pops, cupcakes, mini cheesecakes, embossed shortbread cookies and choc dipped strawberries 😋😋 Decorated in pretty pinks, edible rose petals and (my personal favourite) chocolate covered pretzels there was something for everyone at this dessert table 💗

The gorgeous Michaela turned 21 last weekend and it was my pleasure to create this cake for her special night. Filled with chocolate mud and raspberry buttercream, I was so excited to find that the cake perfectly matched her floral decorations on the night 🤩. Happy birthday once again Micky, here's to 21 being your best year ever 🌹❤

My wonderful colleagues and are embarking on the most exciting journey of becoming the coolest parents in the world, and Mel's recent baby shower was just so much fun 💙 Here's to baby blue, sweet treats and the impending arrival 👶

The ever adorable Darcie Rose celebrated her 1st birthday this weekend and since I have the pleasure of knowing her supermamma , I got to make this unicorn wonderland cake 💗🦄! Underneath what I reckon has to be the prettiest colour scheme ever, this cake was a rich marble mud, filled with oreo buttercream for an extra sugar rush. Huge shout out to the always amazing for their awesome name plate, and the incredibly talented for the adorable unicorn 🦄💗

Just going to interrupt your mid morning with the rest of the treats I got to make in celebration of Baby Collins' impending arrival 😝. From delish shortbread fondant cookies to some super rich chocolate mud cake donuts I had so much fun putting together this dessert table and just adore the mix of cake pearls, edible rose petals and of course chocolate dipped pretzels! 💗🍩💗

First things first I have some explaining to do! Things have been a bit quiet in the kitchen lately, due to my time being prioritised with my number one love; the brain! When I'm not in the kitchen I'm part of the amazing team at the Melbourne Neuropsychiatry Centre, undertaking my PhD and researching the brain and bipolar disorder 🧠👩‍🔬! Due to this, I do have quite limited availability for bakes, and will eventually catch up with posting what I have been up to 😊.
Nevertheless, these lil brain cupcakes made for delicious treats at the recent MNC Trivia night, and getting to combine my greatest passions made these of my favourite bakes to date 😎

Finally recovering from the food coma that was this wonderful Easter weekend! Culturally and religiously, Easter is very important to my family and we had so much fun sharing a wonderful meal and this speckled egg inspired cake together. Hope everyone had an awesome weekend and got to enjoy lots and lots of chocolate 😋🍫🐰
