I had been waiting to try Beatrix Bakes for a long time but there was always a queue so I didn’t get around to it, last night I read they were closing down in a month’s time so I finally went today and waited in the queue. I picked out these varieties to try and I was very disappointed, the carrot cake was extremely dry and it had a floral taste, the lemon cake was impossibly zingy, it was almost like eating a Whizz Fizz, the walnut chiffon cake was dry and no flavour, the only nice one was the potato bomba. I hate to say, I won’t be missing this bakery.
