wiping out the tp shortage, one square at a time...

to cash in on this current toilet paper shortage i have a plan to make sure everyone has access to top quality tp.

buy a pie, get a free square.
buy a pasty, get a free square.
buy a sausage roll, get a free square.
and buy 3 sweet slices and get one free, plus get an extra square. free!

and it won’t be the low quality single ply tp. i’m talking the 3 ply velvety smooth as smooth top shelf shizzle. as i offer the best pies i can, i’ll offer the best squares i can.

question is. should i call this promotion ‘i can spare a square.’ or ‘wipe it forward’?

every business gets complaints. and i’ve received my fair share lately. complaints of the maleny pie guy hq being too busy at times. busy times when your good hungry selves wait to be served within a queue, therefore causing a footpath disturbance.

so to remedy this fact, i give you this… 5403 4027.
and that, my hungry, queuing friends is the maleny pie guy hq hotline.

use it to see what specialities i shall be baking today for a drive-by collection.
use it to speak to one of my wonderful staff, to put your coffee order in, ready to grab and go.
or use it to prank call me to see if i do liver. (as i do do liver locally to local business’s, strapped for collection time, in need of pie guy goodness).

good pies deserve great music...

one of the best things about throwing your own party is you get to choose the music. so i chose elye. and here’s some reasons why...

‘i am an emerging sunshine coast musician who is passionate about contributing to the diversity of the australian music scene. i am 20 years old and have been playing the guitar for five years and the violin since i was eight. i have been involved in both group and individual performances, having been a member of the sunshine youth orchestra and the woodford opening ceremony orchestra, as well as currently performing solo through gigs all over the sunshine coast. my repertoire spans classical, australian roots, celtic, blues, covers and originals, with a preference for instrumental pieces. i currently play gigs and busk at local restaurants, venues and markets on the sunshine coast with my greatest inspiration being the roots artist, john butler!’

i’m already open. but it wasn’t grand enough. so i’ll be having a grand (re)opening of sorts. and you are invited.

beside the maleny pie guy, there stands the maleny pie guy's wife...

this wife is one of the reasons i managed to get the maleny pie guy hq opened in time for today. this wife said "go for it!" when i noticed this space was up for grabs early november. this wife supported me for 50 days (and nights) while i set out the design, sourced funding, applied for council approvals, project managed the fit out, moved out of maleny lane and into 13 maple street and helped negotiate the lease while looking after our 3 little girls. high fives all ‘round to miss o!

today marks the first days trade at the maleny pie guy hq. if you missed it, don’t worry, as i’ll be open another 364 days until next christmas, when i shall close for the day and have a day off. and i’ll be open another 29 days until i have the maleny pie guy mates of maleny grand opening on saturday 25th of january. more to come…

ps. another round of high fives all ‘round to the in-laws and mother pie guy for helping in any which way they could. and did.
