It has been a while since I baked. My day job and new granddaughter have been keeping me busy. I have been working in the background developing my tallow balm recipes and designing labels. Technology and design is not my strong suit. If it was, I would be spending my weekends getting these gorgeous natural products to you at markets.
I’m not one to do things by halves. I want my brand to reflect the goodness that my products are crafted from. Im getting there though. Just a couple more tweaks. So watch this space

I am the proud mother of my first comfrey plant.
With much nurturing her leaves will be infused into my tallow to create a beautiful healing balm for those seeking an organic natural remedy for eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis and dry cracked skin.

🥣 Natural deodorant Recipe testing today.
The messy kitchen is real. But the smells of the essential oils blending is so uplifting.
🏋️‍♀️ This one will be my “ACTIVE BLEND” 🏋️‍♀️
⚖️ Getting the right balance of glide, odour elimination, aroma and feel is very much science and chemistry.
Not just a mix and pour kind of deal.
🥼That’s why testing and experimenting to get the right balance is so important.
I will be wearing this one for the next month to test it out before I release it into the wild.

I’ve been working on some prototype labels in canva . Not sure I 100% like them but I’m getting there. I am very much a novice with Canva but Chat GPT has been such a great help.
I searched for a label printer on Amazon and found one I thought would be ok BUT I am limited with label size and it only prints in black.
There’s still a bit of tweaking to do. And learning along the way.

Don’t worry, the dogs aren’t allowed in the kitchen when I’m baking and blending 😊
There’s just a bit too much clutter on that bench for me though.

Reflections of 2025

A heartfelt thank you to each of you who has embraced my creations, both baked and blended, over the past year. Your loyalty and insights have been instrumental in nurturing this small business, fueling its growth and success. I dove headfirst into the journey, determined to give it my all, but soon realized that balance was key. Merging my full-time job with the demands of building a business proved challenging, and I learned that sometimes, slowing down is the bravest step forward. The initial path I chose turned out to be a huge learning experience, one that shaped Wisdom Blends into what it is today. Though it taught me valuable lessons, the financial sustainability wasn't there, leading to a moment of clarity that sparked transformation. And so, Wisdom Blends emerged, ready for a new chapter. Due to certain restrictions, I've had to pivot from familiar recipes, which led me to craft tallow-based natural skincare, filling a gap while birthing new baking recipes. The journey revealed the importance of clean skincare, free from harsh chemicals, resonating with many who share my vision for a healthier lifestyle. As research mounts on the detrimental effects of processed foods and products, I'm more committed than ever to offer natural, safe alternatives. Wisdom Blends remains your partner in wellness in 2026 and beyond, dedicated to baking wholesome, grain-free treats and blending nature's finest for nourished skin.
