Far North Coast Cake Decorators demonstration day is being held on Saturday 4th June. This is a great opportunity to learn from some very talented decorators. It is held at the Uniting Church Hall on the corner of Keen and Woodlark Street, Lismore. Cost for the day (morning tea and lunch included) is $30.00. It will kick off at 9am and the demonstrations begin at 9:45. "Cakes Around Town" from Brisbane will have their shop in attendance. It will be a great day, so if you are at all interested, just message me.

Thanks to all my recent new likes...we have just rolled over the 150 mark! Thanks to one and all. I am very busy at the moment with Christmas cakes. Cooked 8 dozen fruit patty cakes the other day...... now to the decorating. These cakes will make up part of the almost 400 cakes that the Cake Decorators Guild donate each year to the Meals on Wheels organisation to be distributed across the area. I will post some pics when they are complete.

What a beutiful day for a wedding...and a garden wedding to boot. This morning I delivered this stunning cake to the Helms residence for their daughter, Annie's big day. The gardens were just beautiful. Congratulations.

A very pretty traditional cake for this weekend wedding. The cake is also fruit, so traditional from start to finish. I really enjoyed making and decorating this cake for Bev's son and soon to be daughter-in-law. Do hope the weather is kind for this couples' garden wedding today

I have so much fun meeting new people and teaching them cake decorating. It just seems that after only a couple of days, you have made all these new friends and cemented old friendships. It is so rewarding to see ladies returning to learn new skills. I held a 'Let's make faces' course at Peppertree Kitchen this week, and we had lots of laughs. Here are some of the results. I think they have done a great job of a really difficult subject. Good on you ladies for "having a go"!

What a great day we had,with some great results! Some very talented, young cake decorators attended our morning workshop. We ended up with 21 girls all keen to learn. It is such a delight to teach young minds...they are so open to new things and ideas. I feel quite privileged to have held this class, I'm sure the girls have taught me a thing or two as well.

Of to Peppertree Kitchen in the morning to teach 20 students from 8 years old, the art of cake decorating. Should be heaps of fun. They will take home 6 decorated cupcakes. What do you think of the ones I have got ready for them to copy?

Another successful class of cake decorators have just finished their 6 week course with some stunning results. We have a great time at these classes, and meet some wonderful and talented people. It never ceases to amaze me how many of these girls are so good at whatever craft they put their hand to. Congratulations to every one, you should all be very proud of your achievements.
