The Able Bake House is a Social Enterprise which is based in Lilydale and supported by Melba Support services. It is an enterprise that focusses on the strengths and abilities of individuals that when collected and combined form a complete operation. The Able Bake House address a need for the provision of employment opportunities for people with significant disabilities, as well as a need to provi
de environments that are truly inclusive. We trade specifically for social purposes and in a cost neutral frame work. We operate in all markets, selling our goods to local authorities, state government bodies, private businesses and individual consumers. Our primary objective is to use creative options to provide workplace training and skill development that is person centred,sustainable,community based and inclusive of all. We aim to achieve social impact and community connectedness for all stakeholders. We operate in the market through the production of goods in creative and innovative ways, using any surpluses to reinvest in the Baking House to help us achieve our social goals of purpose,inclusion and connectedness. The product range includes some delicious biscuits and slices that are available all year round, as well as seasonal products like chutneys and Jams. Our Gift hampers are available throughout the whole year and are ideal gifts for mother’s day and Christmas and can be made to order and tailored to your price range.
