In 1993, Sunrise Bakery won the Great Aussie Meat Pie Competition — and we’re still the only Tasmanian bakery to ever take out the overall Plain Meat Pie title.

Pretty special seeing our name on the honour board at Fine Foods in Melbourne this week.

Times running out to lock in your 2026 fundraiser!

Sunrise Bakery has been helping Tasmanian schools, sporting clubs and community groups raise money for years — new classroom resources, sports gear, uniforms, camps, travel costs, you name it. Families get to stock up on the pies, slices and lamingtons they already love, and your group keeps the profit.

We do the baking and delivery — you just hand out the order forms and watch the support roll in.

🗓️ A fundraiser takes 4–6 weeks from handing out forms to delivery, plus at least 10 working days' notice for us to prepare your order — so if you want it wrapped up before the year's out, now's the time to get in touch.

We do contract baking for businesses across Tasmania — your recipe, your label, our ovens. Pies, pastries, biscuits, slices, whatever it is you need made properly and made consistently, batch after batch.

And you don't need it all worked out. If you've got an idea rather than a finished recipe, we can help you develop it — getting it right, and getting it right at scale, is a big part of what we do.

📣 Sunrise Bakery Fundraiser is Back for 2026!

🎉 The School Association is excited to team up with Sunrise Bakery again in 2026 for another delicious fundraiser! 🎉

Order forms have been sent home with students and now we need YOUR help to make this fundraiser a huge success.

What to do:
🍪 Ask your family
🥧 Ask your friends
🍫 Ask your neighbours
📝 Collect orders for some yummy treats!

📅 Orders and money must be returned to the school by 10:00am on Friday 31 July.

🏆 There are some fantastic incentives up for grabs:
✨ A reward for the class with the highest sales.
🌟 A special prize for the student who sells the most!

In February, we celebrated 60 years of Sunrise Bakery.

It was a special evening shared with many of our friends, family, past and present team members and customers, all of whom have played a part in the Sunrise story.

Since 1966, Sunrise has been built on hard work, early mornings, family, and good honest baking.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to everyone who has supported us over the years. Here’s to 60 years of Sunrise Bakery, and many more to come!
