Gibbs Family Bakehouse is looking for a reliable and motivated team member to join our team at Kalkallo, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts at our Reservoir location as needed.

To be considered, you must:
✅ Have coffee-making experience
✅ Have retail and customer service experience
✅ Be confident working unsupervised
✅ Be reliable, friendly, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
✅ Be available to attend a 2-hour trial shift this Saturday or Sunday

Highly regarded:
⭐ Driver's licence
⭐ Own reliable transport

Shifts Tuesday and Wednesday to start with potential for more in the future.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with customers, takes pride in their work, and can manage a store confidently when working alone.

The help celebrate orthodox Easter we will be doing Tsoureki via pre order only. Call message or come in and order for pick up.

Each Tsoureki will be 450gm with 2 red eggs in each at $20 each.

A quick update from **The Gibbs Family Bakehouse**.

Earlier this week we shared that, after 2½ years, we had made the very difficult decision to close the bakery. Rising costs and the realities of running a small family business had finally caught up with us.

Since then we’ve been speaking with centre management about what happens next.

Under the terms of our lease we can’t simply close the doors, so we’ll be **continuing to trade while a new tenant for the space is found**. Centre management has also agreed to work with us on reduced hours and rent while this process happens.

What this means is that **the ovens are staying on for now**.

We may be running with slightly streamlined hours and a simpler menu while we work through this next stage, but we’ll still be here baking and serving the community.

If you’ve ever supported our little bakery, now is a great time to drop in, grab your favourite loaf, pie or pastry, and say hello.

Your support over the last 2½ years has meant the world to our family.

After an incredible 2 years and 3 months, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of The Gibbs Family Bakehouse effective Sunday 8th March will be our last day of trade.

We are deeply grateful to all of our customers for the support you have shown us over the years. Every person who walked through our doors meant a great deal to us, and we truly appreciate the community that formed around our business.

This decision has not been an easy one. This venture was not only our dream, but something we hoped would help build a future for our family and our children.

Unfortunately, with the growing financial pressures and circumstances outside our control, we have reached a point where it is no longer sustainable for us to continue.

It breaks our hearts to make this decision, but we know it is the responsible step to take before the situation becomes even more difficult.

We would like to sincerely thank our family, friends, and customers for the encouragement, loyalty, and kindness you have shown us throughout this journey. Your support has meant more to us than words can express.
