Soft blush pinks, creamy whites, delicate florals and touches of gold came together so beautifully for such a precious occasion. The gold crosses were the perfect finishing touch ✝️✨

A special birthday deserves a special cake, and Glorsey’s 80th was certainly no exception💕🌸
I think this beauty is proof that slab cakes are anything but boring. With delicate piping, soft feminine tones and a touch of gold, they can be every bit as elegant and celebration-worthy as any tiered cake😍
Turning 80 is an incredible milestone; a reminder of all the people you’ve loved, the lives you’ve touched and the memories you’ve created along the way. Here’s to celebrating Glorsey and everything this wonderful occasion represents🥂✨

🌸 BABY IN BLOOM 🌸
Is there anything sweeter than a baby-themed cookie set?! 🥹🤍 These gorgeous Baby in Bloom Deluxe Cookies went out over the weekend to celebrate the very loved Baby Wells 🌼✨
I genuinely LOVE when my customers give me full creative freedom with their cookie sets. Being handed a theme and told “I trust you” means I get to let my creativity completely take over; the trust you all continue to place in me never ceases to amaze me🥰
From the delicate florals and tiny bassinets to the soft pinks, buttery yellows and touches of sage… this set was an absolute dream to bring to life! 🌸🎀

Growth looks different from here🤍
Eight years ago, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.
I winged it, learnt as I went and lived by “fake it till you make it.”
But lately I’ve wondered… what actually is “making it”?
For a long time, I thought success meant proving people wrong. Proving that the small-town girl who heard “you can’t do that” and “that’ll never work” actually could.
So I worked harder. Took on more. Undercharged. Overdelivered. Filled every spare hour and wore exhaustion like evidence I was succeeding.
But that wasn’t success.
That was a woman with a completely fried nervous system looking for external validation and calling it ambition😂
Growth has changed that.
Growth is looking at this fridge of custom cakes produced in 1/2 a day and not thinking “I could’ve squeezed another one in.”
It’s thinking, this is enough.
It’s knowing those cakes are priced properly. Knowing the years of experience behind them have value. Creating them without the stress that once came with doing too much for too little.
It’s having customers who value what I create and happily pay what it’s worth.
Working smarter doesn’t mean I’m less driven. It means I’m more intentional.
I still have enormous goals. I still have that stubborn little spark that says watch me when somebody tells me I can’t do something😂
The difference is, I’m not building my life around proving them wrong anymore.
I’m building it around proving myself right!
That I can build a successful business without destroying myself to run it. That I can make good money without saying yes to everything. That I can have ambition and boundaries.
Eight years ago, I thought “making it” would be the point where everyone else could see I’d succeeded.
Now?
I think making it is reaching the point where you no longer need them to🤍
And THAT might just be the biggest growth of all🫶🏻

I mean… if the cake says it, it must be true 😂
This crazy-piped White Choc Mud beauty was an absolute VIBE! waves on waves of buttercream, silver pearls, a cheeky little cherry on top 🍒 and quite possibly one of my favourite cake messages yet.
And a little fun fact… Rach’s mum ordered her a surprise BBD cake last week, and this week Rach came back and ordered another cake herself.
She must have loved it that much 😉😂
Two weeks. Two cakes. I fully support this kind of behaviour.

How special is it to reach 93 years of age 😍🤎
When Sandra got in touch about a cake for Ron’s 93rd birthday, apparently Ron’s request was pretty simple, nothing fancy, just a sponge cake with white icing😂
Sandra, a special friend and carer of Ron’s, had something a little more memorable in mind.
The brief was simply that Ron had spent his life farming, and flavour-wise we landed on lemon with lemon curd and raspberry filling 🍋
After a little thought, I knew I wanted to create something sophisticated that still captured the farming life Ron has known for so many years.
So I designed this beautiful wrap featuring iconic Hereford cattle, old-style John Deere tractors and a classic rural landscape; the kind of scene I’m sure Ron has woken up to more times than he could ever count🌾🐄🚜
Finished with sprigs of wheat as a little nod to all the crops I’m sure he has grown and harvested over his lifetime, and of course a gold 93 because reaching an age like that absolutely deserves to be celebrated! ✨
Thank you again, Sandra, for entrusting me with such a special cake for Ron. I hope his 93rd birthday was every bit as wonderful as it deserved to be🤎

I genuinely almost didn’t do a Father’s Day collection this year 😅
My BBD life has been incredibly crazy busy lately, perhaps far too busy for a one-woman show 😂 and adding another launch and another round of baking into the mix probably isn’t the most sensible decision I’ve ever made…
BUT after spoiling all the beautiful Mums in our lives with BBD sweets earlier this year, it just didn’t feel fair to leave the Dads out😂🤎
Sooooo… here it is!

A 19cm fudgy brownie filled with Biscoff spread and loaded with buttercream, more Biscoff, Lotus biscuits, chocolates and all the good stuff, finished with a gold Happy Father’s Day topper.
🍫 Kinder Bueno Loaded Brownie Slab - $45
Filled with creamy Bueno spread and loaded with buttercream, more Bueno goodness, Kinder Bueno, chocolate sprinkles and white chocolate drizzle, also finished with our gold Father’s Day topper.
🍪 Stuffed Chunky Cookie Gift Box - $32
Four BIG 120g stuffed cookies - Salted Caramello, Nutella M&M Marshmallow, Kinder and Lemon Cheesecake. That’s almost half a kilo of BBD cookie goodness in one box 🤤
And when I say VERY limited, I mean it!
There are just 10 OF EACH OPTION AVAILABLE. Once those 30 boxes are gone, Father’s Day 2026 is SOLD OUT!
This collection is also Inverell pickup/delivery ONLY. Sorry to all my beautiful non-local customers 🤍 I simply don’t have the capacity this year to fit in more than one round of Father’s Day baking.

For a while now, I’ve had this exact style of cake living rent free in my head… just waiting for the perfect excuse to bring it to life 😍🌸🍓🍋
So when my family decided to surprise my grandparents and aunty with a family get-together on Saturday, of course I was bringing the cake 😂 And with no client brief to follow, I had free rein to create exactly what I wanted!
Introducing this epic GF Lemon Raspberry fruit & floral beauty; loaded with fresh berries, citrus, passionfruit and the most gorgeous fresh florals🌸🍊🍓
And honestly… isn’t she just SPECTACULAR?! 😍
I absolutely LOVE when I get the chance to step outside the usual and create something a little different and I think this style may need to make a few more appearances at BBD! 👀💕

It never ceases to amaze me just how far people will travel to secure a custom order with us 🥹💕
This week alone we had cakes travel to Glen Innes, last week we had orders head all the way to Moree… and this beautiful collection made the 4+ hour round trip to Tamworth to celebrate Eliza & Ruby’s birthdays! 🦄✨
And what a collection it was! 😍
A dreamy unicorn cake finished with gorgeous fresh flowers, matching cupcakes AND coordinating cookies, all created together to make one beautifully cohesive dessert spread for their celebration🌸💕
But this order was made even more special by the fact that a few years ago, I also had the pleasure of creating their parents’ wedding cake🥹🫶🏻
There’s something incredibly special about being invited back to create for the next chapters and milestones in a family’s story.
