Massive news for people using Facebook for business. Facebook have removed the need for a third party app when doing promotions. This means you can now use the Timeline for your promotions. HUGE difference and much easier. Here's the official word from Facebook: http://on.fb.me/1518Qh5

We've updated our policies in order to make it easier for businesses of all sizes to create and administer promotions on Facebook.

Did you know that Facebook have changed their cover image guidelines again? The last change was in March 2013. The new one removes completely the rule on only having 20% text in the cover image. This means you can have as much text as you want, but as always, think of the overall design and ensure the image is the main selling point. https://www.facebook.com/page_guidelines.php

Have you noticed the new emotion icons in your Facebook profile status update? It allows you to choose emoticons that express how you're feeling. They're pretty cool and potentially these might be an interesting way for pages to communicate on a more informal way with customers too if they become available for pages.
