Brain Haemorrhage Cupcakes for Halloween were mind blowing!

Raspberry & White Mud flavoured cupcakes with berry coulis in the centre. Brain decorated with flesh coloured buttercream, a few drops of berry coulis blood and a syringe filled with Raspberry Jelly to inject prior to eating! Wish I took a photo after the injection and cut in half to show u the centre.

Haven't done many cakes lately as it really is a lot more difficult to decorate cakes in Darwin! Here is an esky and bottle of beer I made a couple of weeks ago for my nephews mate Brad's 21st! Unfortunately for Brad he missed his own 21st birthday party and spent it in hospital and had emergency surgery after an accident with a knife the day before on a fishing charter with the boys! This was the only beer he was allowed to have the day after the party!

A Thing 1 & Thing 2 Cake creation was ordered for a Twins Baby Shower for my nieces friend Ashlee.
A slight caketastrophe occurring when Thing 1's head fell off after these photos were taken and another had to be made in time for the party! Stupid Darwin Heat! But all good in the end!

I was extremely honored to be asked to make these cakes for a good friend, Ronald's 40th. Pretty happy with how they looked when finished but a little disappointed with how they tasted/looked after being cut as I have always taken pride in the look & the taste of my cakes. Although the aircon was on 24/7 the entire time I was decorating - both the buttercream filling and ganache under the fondant had melted.
This Darwin heat/humidity is not very cake decorating friendly and I definitely need to find a better method if I decide to keep making cakes.

Not really my best work but this was a last minute order for Ella's disco themed birthday last weekend.
Cakes baked and decorated in a record 6 hours from start to finish. Given it takes a couple of hours to mix the cake and bake them and I was dealing with Darwin weather that's not too bad!
