I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's Day 💕

Sorry for going MIA for the last few months. I can sure say there was alot going on at home.

I have been thinking every day and night for past month, and sadly I have to disappoint and announce..
Eggcellent Eggs will be closing.

I have thought about everything you can possibly think off and the best decision for us was to give it up.

It breaks my heart to do this, the effort and hard work that's gone into it and plus all the amazing people we have met! 💕
You guys are amazing and I can't say it enough! THANK YOU FOR THE ONGOING SUPPORT YOU HAVE GIVEN 🙏

📝 We are taking PRE-ORDERS for delivery between 18th-25th October.

🚚 Delivery day will depend on your area and suburb.

🥚 They are $20 a tray for a tray of 20 duck eggs.
These duck eggs are between 67g-80g.

(I know its not much, but its the best we can do for this month after the lot we had ordered already. But we will get more for next month!)

Hi Egg-fam! Duck eggs are now sold out!

This is our second time selling duck eggs and this month, we were sold out by Friday night (in 3 days)!!
We even ordered more than last month (which took over almost 2 week to sell out)

And sorry to those I still haven't replied from Saturday morning! I am going through messages now but I thought to do a post on here so there won't be more duck orders coming through 😅

We have contacted our supplier and requested to get more if possible but we are waiting to hear back.
We will post on our story/page if we are able to get our hands on some more! So keep your eyes out for the post, as I don't think it will be alot and it will go fast as I had to knock back a few people on Friday night already!

But next month we will probably get alot more than this month. Sorry for any inconvenience 😔💕

1. They taste richer and more flavourful.

2. Nutritionally superior with increased amounts of protein, vitamins and minerals. They have more of the good fats.

3. Stronger shells. Keeps longer as the thicker shell is less prone to oxidation, absorption of odours and flavours.

4. Greater yolk to white ratio. From a culinary perspective, the yolks are the more valuable component of an egg. It’s the bit most people love as well. What’s the best bit you go for with your toast soldiers?

5. White is much stronger (lower in water and higher albumen content). In cooking they can be used more sparingly as have stronger binding. In baking, this stronger bond results in holding greater aeration, therefore rise (lighter, fluffier).

6. Maybe tolerable for people with chicken egg allergies

7. Visually they are impressive. They yolks are so much bigger. They have great hold and set.

8. Great for Easter eggs decoration or painting on. More durable ranging in colour from mostly bright white to subtle shades of green/blue.

Not only are duck eggs healthy they taste great too!
