🤔Did you know some of my dough is still mixed by hand rather than in the commercial mixer?

In the early days of Artisan Acres, every single loaf was mixed this way. When orders started growing, so did the aches in my hands and arms!

Another behind-the-scenes job is prepping all the inclusions that go into the flavoured loaves. I love big rustic chunks of Kalamata olives through sourdough, so chopping olives has become a weekly ritual around here.

This week’s focaccia dough was hand mixed too, and there are still 2 x Garlic Herb Focaccias available.

🥖 Loaves left this week:
• 4 x Classic White
• 2 x Nutella
• 2 x Garlic Parmesan & Herb

We did it.

Dough day turned into dough night this week just to wrestle a decent dough out of seven straight days of ridiculous heat over 40 🥵
When 43° feels “tolerable” because you’ve seen 47°… you know it’s been a week.

Just two more days over 40 to go and then we finally cool down again 🤞

Kaya, delivery from our special Singapore fam on their recent visit home to Aus, slathered on Noah’s handmade sourdough fresh out of the oven.

The kitchen smells like a beautiful blend of Artisan Acres sourdough and warm memories of time spent with our family in Singapore.
Warm bread, family love and flavours that travel across oceans.
