I just received a reminder that I hadn’t posted anything for a while! The last time was in October and I’ve missed several birthday posts because I didn’t make the cake! As it happens, the reminder was very timely indeed! We celebrated Amaani’s 9th birthday last week and guess what? Yesterday we celebrated the twins’ first birthday! How time flies. This is the 3rd first birthday cake I have had the privilege of making for my grandchildren!

Hello dear friends! I thought life would slow down as I got older - no such luck but enjoying every minute. The arrival of the twins was certainly a joyous and emotional occasion for our family. Btw they were beautiful twin girls!
Another milestone just reached - I won’t elaborate too much though, some things are better left unsaid 😊😊

In case you’re wondering, my husband is addicted to Connoisseur ice cream. We have a whole freezer full. So if Woolworths runs out, they can borrow from us! 😂😂

Hi everyone! It’s certainly been a while. I’ve been underground, just trying to catch up with life in general. Anyway, we have yet another family event coming up in about 21/2 months - that’s right a new addition to the family inshallah! This time my dear son Saad and my dear daughter in law Zahra. I’ll keep you guessing but here is the cake from yesterday’s baby shower. I was told it was a boho, woodland theme and I thought ‘what the ?????’ Lol! This is what I came up with. The whole event was so much fun - a team effort in every sense. Well done girls Anila, Zahra, Mariam and Kanwal! Love you all to bits 😘😘😘

Hi everyone! I honestly thought that with the number of birthdays in my family, I had managed to get away with only one in August - namely, that of my gorgeous daughter in law Zahra's. It turns out that my new son in law Mustafa's birthday is also in August and only 8 days after Zahra's! No escape for me 🤦🏻‍♀️especially as it was Mustafa's first birthday with his new family - I had to make a good impression! Hi everyone - so my precious daughter's wedding took place last weekend. Everything went well and now the newlyweds are enjoying themselves in Langawi. Congratulations to Mariam and Mustafa and i'm delighted to welcome Mustafa to our crazy family!
The cake happened too - hours of hard work went into this but it was worth every minute! Love you both to bits and wish you all the happiness in the world and a very fun filled and successful married life! 😘😘😘😍😍😍

Let the celebrations begin!! So the first event leading up to my daughter's wedding is successfully over! AH! I really enjoyed making this cake which was quite significant for the event. I thought I would share the work in progress with you all. A white chocolate mud with buttercream and rasberry filling. I did a multi coloured swirl to make it more interesting when it was cut. Cutting this cake was quite a challenge and almost felt like a crime. I must admit though it was delicious and became even more flavoursome over the next few days! Watch this space - the wedding cake will be here in July sometime inshallah! Love to you all! ❤️❤️
