I had not been planning on making any cake this week but when you get an emergency text from a friend asking for a birthday rescue you do what you can. It wasnt exactly what I envisioned, but given my cake shop was closed and I was working with what i had on hand, I’m happy enough.

Last week was a week of family first birthday celebrations.
Young Master Hastings loves Nemo so of course that’s what he had to have. Moist chocolate cake filled with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream and raspberry jam. Decorated in Swiss meringue buttercream with fondant accents.
