Desserts On Cockatoo Lane are well loved classics, chosen to warm the soul and made here with care.

Apple and rhubarb crumble with vanilla bean ice cream, made with homegrown rhubarb and locally grown apples (often from my sister’s prolifically producing tree).

Sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce and vanilla bean ice cream.

After a recent trip to The Riverland we discovered a rich history of date growing in the area and now buy organic Riverland dates to use in our pudding, from Gurra Downs Date Company. Always proud to add another SA grown product to our menu.

These cool nights are calling for more lamb shanks I think.

Our autumn menu includes this Slow Cooked Lamb Shanks with pumpkin and caramelised shallot puree, seasonal veg or salad, minted whipped feta and Barossa pomegranate.

Lamb shanks are delicious but they take time. Let me do the time consuming part.

Got some food shots back from the wonderful . A few weeks ago he captured some of the dishes from of our Autumn/Winter menu. It was a lot of fun and thanks to for helping out with styling on the day.

This weather prompted me to look at the pea and bacon soup with new eyes.
