Feeling Proud right now after finding this in my inbox! As I reflect on being nominated for this award I’m left feeling grateful but also left feeling that this industry has so many amazing bakers that are all deserving of such an award!

We have build this Cookie industry together, all growing our skills, building our businesses, working hard, hustling, trying to juggle life in general all while not giving up on our dreams and our passion.

Next up is Inspiration!!! A lot of my customers have an idea of what they want but equally as many don’t, so they trust I can make something beautiful for them! I always say send over cake ideas, decor, colours, your vision boards! Really anything you can to show me how you will be styling your event, it gives me a direction to start it really helps set the vision especially when you give me creative freedom! Sometimes you are the inspiration!

More times then not us Fondant gals are sent Royal Icing Cookies which is fine but means we can’t copy these as they are made with a totally different technique to what we work with which is actually great! Why you ask? Well because it means we have to make it different and not flat out copy! This does however mean we need to work a little harder with stamp creators (there are so many amazing ones out there now) to find the right designs!

This process can take a long time and extra cost should be expected to pay so you get something as close to your inspiration but again not the exact same.

As your chosen Cookie Artist we want to make you, our customer happy so you can expect lots of options so you can have as much say to as you want or as little and be completely surprised!

If you do however send over someone else’s work please don’t feel the need to crop out the original designer! Most of us in the Cookie community are the most supportive of our fellow Cookie Gals!

Some of us have a unique style that can be recognized with or without our name attached to the images. So if you have seen and loved someone else’s work and if you choose us as your Cookie Gal (because we know you might be looking else also) then we can praise their work when we post it!
