Eating a lot of fat, moderate amounts of protein and a small amount of carbohydrates can have a huge impact on your health — reduce cholesterol, body weight, blood sugar and increase energy and mood.
It may be difficult to figure out keto at first, but it's not as difficult as it sounds. Switching to a new diet can be a bit tricky, but the growing popularity of the diet makes it easier to find affordable low-carb foods.
Finally, a few tips:
1. Be straightforward and strict with yourself. You usually see better results in people who limit their carbohydrate intake even more. Try to consume as little carbohydrates as possible in the first month of keto. Eliminate unnecessary sweets and artificial sweeteners (for example, diet soda). Abandoning them dramatically reduces the craving for sweets.
2. Drink water and add electrolytes. The most common problems occur due to dehydration or lack of electrolytes. When you start keto (and even in the long run), make sure you drink plenty of water, salt your food, and take vitamins.
3. Track what you eat. You can easily overdo it with carbohydrates, as they are hidden in almost everything you eat.
