From two cakes… to one BIG sheet cake! 🎂🤍
If you watched Part 1, you already know how this project started!
I had two cakes — Vanilla & Chocolate — and the goal was to bring them together into one big sheet cake for 40 people. 🤍🍫
It wasn’t just about putting two cakes next to each other! 😅
I had to work with the size, measure and adjust everything to get the dimensions we needed for the final sheet cake.
And then came the fun part… DECORATION! 🎀✨
The cake board size wasn’t exactly what I needed, so I had to customize it to make it work for this cake.
For the decoration, I wanted everything to match the hospital’s logo, so I went with off-white, blue & green 🤍💙💚 and added the colorful sprinkles for a little extra touch.
And then there was the logo… 👀
I intentionally left it until the very last moment before delivery. I wanted to make sure it stayed clean, fresh, and exactly as it should be — with the colors and details looking their best. 🤍
Which meant… yes, a little extra timing and stress for me! 😂
Because I had to get everything ready, place the logo at just the right time, and make sure the cake was ready to go when it needed to be. ⏰🎂
And honestly… filming this cake was a challenge on its own! 😂
The cake was so big that my filming space was basically saying: “Girl… where am I supposed to fit this?!” 😭😂
But somehow, we made it work! And I’m so happy with how it came together. 🥹🤍
Two flavors. One cake. 40 servings. A LOT of work… and lots of love. 🎂✨
Now I have a question for my fellow cake decorators 👩🏻🍳👇🏻
When you’re making a large cake with two different flavors, which way do you prefer?
A) Finish and decorate each cake separately, then assemble them together.
B) Assemble both cakes from the beginning with the filling & cream, then finish and decorate them as one cake.
And if you have a tip for getting the perfect size for a large sheet cake, share it with me! 📏🤍
I’d love to hear how you do it! 👇🏻✨
